St. Luke's is a caring community made up of individuals who love God,
each other and those God gives us to care for. No one is a stranger at St. Luke's.

SUNDAY WORSHIP
9:00 AM Sunday School (for children ages 4 - 8th grade)
Children gather to hear the stories of the faith
and to learn about God's great love for them.
Sunday School has ended for the summer and will resume in the fall.

10:00 AM Worship with Holy Communion
Each Sunday we gather around God's word and sacrament (all baptized
Christians who believe that the Lord is present in the sacrament are welcome
to come to the table) to hear about his creative and redeeming love for us.
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend worship. Coloring pages
are available for use during the service. They are invited to come forward for
a Youth Conversation. If you need to take your child out for any reason, you can
hear the service in the narthex through a speaker. A nursery is also available.

Taize Prayer Services
3rd Sunday of each month at 4:00pm (resumes in September)
About Taizé (pronounced ta-ZAY)
The Taizé Prayer Service, named after the village in France where it originated,
is a group method of Christian Prayer that combines Bible readings
with meditative silences and repetitive singing /chanting.
Songs are often 1 or 2 lines long and are repeated over and over.
This service is loose in structure.
Icons, candles or other objects will be used to help focus our prayers.
It is our most sincere hope that, for this brief time, you can be still
and be at peace in the presence of God.
Vacation Bible School
"Rainforest Adventure - A Treetop Bible Blast!"

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Children between the ages of 4 years and 6th grade
are invited to swing on in and join us for a week of
great stories about Jesus, cool crafts, fun songs, and super snacks!

Shared Mission Initiative Men's Group
Meets the first Monday of each month at Ascension Lutheran Church, Haddon Hts.
The next meeting will be
Monday, September 1 at 7:00 pm
(no meeting in July or August)
Shared Mission Initiative Women's Group
Meets the first Tuesday of each month at various locations.
Resumes in the fall - kicking off with an overnight retreat
at the oceanfront Golden Inn, Avalon, NJ

We are reading People of Purpose by Robert Driver-Bishop.
The cost of the book is $8.79. Checks may be sent to
St. Luke's Lutheran Church and made payable to the same.
